"I smoked my last cigarette at 9.30pm on 15th February, 2010. At that point, I'd been smoking for over 30 years, and the worry of getting older and the health risks were weighing on my mind.
"I decided to take part in a stop smoking course at my work place, and found that stopping smoking in a team environment was a great support, especially in the early days when I found it hard to stay motivated.
"It's not been easy since I stopped. I've put on weight and my cholesterol's gone up, but I also found I got a real sense of achievement in succeeding.
"I feel good about myself and I've not been ill at all recently, which is definitely because I've stopped smoking. Plus I've saved loads of money as well - over £175 a month!"
