Legends Sculpture to be created by a Cigarette Amnesty, declared in Salford on No Smoking Day

A Cigarette Amnesty is being declared in Salford on national No Smoking Day by the NHS Salford Legends Stop Smoking Service - and all smokers are being invited to bring their empty cigarette packets along to Salford Shopping City on Wednesday 9th March to help create a giant Legends Sculpture.

People in Salford who want to stop smoking are being offered a free innovative online tracker to help motivate them by showing how many cigarettes they have cut down by and how much money they are saving each day.

Smokers in Salford are being offered the opportunity to become a ‘Salford Legend’ by making a New Year’s resolution to stop smoking. NHS Salford is launching the Salford Community Health Bus to offer advice and support to anyone who wants to consider stopping smoking, and get a healthy start to 2011.
